Production Operators execute repetitive manufacturing and assembly operations to provide a consistent and efficient assembly process and flow of high quality parts on the team production line operation.

CRITICAL VITAL ACTIVITIES (includes the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned)

Manufacture and assembly of a high quality part at a pre-determined rate of assembly and manufacture.

Must have the ability to interpret, communicate and adhere to verbal and written or visual instructions and communications; including but not limited to manufacturing process communications, assembly and work instructions, quality alerts, change control notices (CCN), production board, p-chart, rate changes in production, safety notices or alarms, etc. Adhere to machine safety standards and follow safety policies and procedures

Understand and use "one piece flow" process and common manufacturing competencies

Keep housekeeping standards, promote and follow 5-S principles.

Be able to identify quality parts versus defective parts

Know, adhere to and communicate the defective part processes when discovering a defective part

Understand and adhere to the company's Quality policy

Follow policies and procedures per Employee handbook

Must have ability to work mandatory overtime when required.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to understand written and oral instruction and have an ability to communicate effectively with others. High School Diploma or GED required.

Prior assembly experience is preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, feel parts/product; carry out repetitive tasks; reach with hands and arms; bend and stoop; lift up to 35 pounds; have visual acuity, the ability to differentiate colors and perform small hand-assembly work, have close vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as the ability to hear safety warnings, verbal instructions, etc. during the operation of manufacturing and assembly equipment and processes. Must be able to twist, grasp, push/pull and communicate verbally. Must be able to communicate verbally and read work instructions.
