Job DescriptionOnsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Romulus GPS on a full-time basis.The Role:The Global Supply Chain (GSC) Business Planner is responsible for leading Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS), raising issues or concerns that could impact department or plant performance and assisting in communication and department training. This job requires effective communication, planning, and organizational skills. Work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision making and independent judgment.What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Support safety culture through daily observations and weekly audits
Ensure/verify implementation of corrective actions from safety incidents
Verify New Employee's completed No Blip Process as required
Ensure all GMS principles are deployed, understood and effective within GSC floor operations
Represent department in GMS basketweave meetings
Conduct Workplace Organization (WPO) audits
Conduct First In First Out (FIFO) audits
Conduct Overflow audits
Support current and future automation within GSC (JBT, Otto, Seegrid)
Support department problem solving initiatives
Implement CIP workshops when required
Support Launch and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Attend weekly Plan for Every Part (PFEP) meeting
Provides vacation/absentee coverage for Group Leader and Shift Leader as required (off shift support as needed)
Utilizes Kronos and Tableau to run overtime report and tracks trends or opportunities
Review /support teams level 4/5 boards & GMS compliance
Attend Layout Meeting at Layout table as needed
Work with TL's & GL's to ensure all L4/5 documents are present on the boards
Supervises department training plan
Prepare and Review Level 2 BPD Annual Plans
Build a culture of continuous improvement across business metrics (SPQRCE)
Lead or attend production/quality/TIP meetings

Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed
2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Lean manufacturing experience (GMS experience)
2 years of GSC experience

2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of GSC experience
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management
