Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Registration Specialist in Shelby Township, Michigan. This role is in the healthcare industry where you will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks involving patient registration, data entry, and document scanning. Responsibilities: Handling patient registration in an organized and efficient manner Ensuring accurate indexing and sorting of registration forms Reconciling registration forms against the patient census Utilizing Cerner Technologies for registration and scanning of paper registration packets Accurately logging patient admission and discharge information Administering billing functions and authorizations within the EHR system Overseeing healthcare administration tasks as required Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data entry tasks Efficiently handling document scanning tasks and maintaining digital records. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field Proficiency in Cerner Technologies and EHR SYSTEM Experience in authorizations and billing functions Knowledge of healthcare administration Proficient in data entry Experience in document scanning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
