DescriptionA manufacturer in Metro Detroit is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a contract opportunity. The Senior Cost Accountant will plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. The Senior Cost Accountant will also be involved in analyzing changes in product design to determine effects on cost. This position will maintain the cost accounting system, as well as assist in the month end close.RequirementsSenior Cost Accountant Requirements – The successful candidate will have at least five or more years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing environment and experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel. The Senior Cost Accountant must have a strong cost systems background.
