Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance to resolve issues and field questions for firm Tax application suite.

Proactively identify potential issues and technology needs for the Tax practice and assist in selecting and implementing practical solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for Tax technology solutions.

Work collaboratively with members of the Tax practice, members of Plante Moran’s internal Technology Services team, and vendors to support and implement software or perform updates for existing software.

Work independently and prioritize multiple competing tasks.

Communicate professionally with staff over various methods including email, messaging, and phone/video calls.

Develop relationships with key staff and assist them in leveraging new technology to meet staff and Firm goals.

Participate in technology projects aiming to improve tax systems and processes.

The qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or related degree required.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and resolve problems with little guidance.

Strong internal client focus from initial contact through resolution.

Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to provide accurate and detailed information to staff when resolving a problem or question.

Ability to convey a positive impression that reflects favorably on both the Firm and the Tax Technology team.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to leverage team diversity to achieve task and goals.

Ability to coach and mentor other staff.

Follow through on commitments and take ownership over solutions and processes.

Desired proficiency in following technical skills, including:

Experience with tax software applications and providing technical support

Experience with CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Axcess Workflow, GoSystem Tax, FX Fixed Assets are a plus

Experience providing support for web based/cloud-based software solutions

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

2-3 years of combined technical and application support

2-3 years of client service experience

This position requires up to 10% travel between Plante Moran offices.

Salary

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$5,416.67 to $6,666.67

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
