The Brewery Lodge of Michigan City, IN is hiring for a creative, reliable chef to join our team. We are a 12 room hotel with a 50 seat restaurant, lounge, brewery tour bus and event spaces. Our property is located on 40 acres and we host special events, themed-based dinners, weddings, corporate retreats, etc. We are privately owned and are looking for individuals that take pride in their craft and work ethic.
Our chef connects with our guests to create a memorable experience, focusing on food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and running a smooth kitchen operation. The chef builds sales and profits through their behavior, delivering on promises to our team members, Guests, Vendors and our community involvement.
Responsibilities include: Menu creation (small menu focusing on weekly specials), food ordering, costing, pricing, inventory management, cleanliness of kitchen, management of sous chef/kitchen help, and deliver quality food offerings on time to our guests.
We are open Wed thru Saturday for dinner, as well as Sunday Brunch. We would like to expand that to 7 days a week and want to build a small culinary dream team to do so. Private events vary but need to be staffed accordingly.
Pay is negotiable and based on experience.
Food safe certified required.
Culinary Education required.
