GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Coordinate and fulfill day to day operations of mobile pantry distributions. This includes driving the mobile pantry straight truck to remote distribution sites, loading/unloading donations and deliveries, order selecting, product rotations, scheduling distribution dates, and general maintenance. At times there will also be a need to drive semi-trucks and straight trucks to deliver and pick up products donated to the Food Bank in support of addressing hunger issues in Southwest Michigan.

No overnight travel and very rarely required to work on weekends. 5 - 8 hour shifts vary, but start time will be no early than 8 a.m. and shift will end no later than 7:30 p.m.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Loading/Unloading Trucks

Stocking product using proper rotation methods

Fulfilling agency orders

Coordinating scheduling of mobile pantry distributions

Creating invoices

Working with the office team to properly coordinate deliveries and pick ups

General cleaning and maintenance

Drive truck to pick up products from donors

Drive truck to deliver orders to pantries, and mobile pantries

Load and unload trailers

Assist with Mobile Pantry distributions at delivery site keeping trash and recycle items sorted in the trailers for return delivery

Respond to agency customers about the Food Bank and its services

Assist in general warehouse tasks as assigned

Professional Requirements:

Maintain a CDL license (minimum Class B, Class A preferred) with air brake endorsement, current medical examiners card or ability to pass a physical.

Ability to lift more than 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Knowledge of warehouse operations, math skills with the ability to count items on a skid using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Ability to operate a hi-lo and other warehouse equipment.

Basic computer skills

Requires basic customer service skills.
