Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionEstablished in 1944, we build custom windows and door walls for homes, servicing Michigan and Northern Ohio. All of our windows are crafted in our facility. You will be responsible for the manufacturing and assembling of windows and/or door walls, working in one of four areas – Shipping & Receiving, Frames (windows), Sashes (windows), or Doorwall/Casements. Positions are somewhat interchangeable, and you will receive ongoing training on different sub-assemblies throughout the facility.Job Duties:
Assembly of windows or door walls, including measuring and cutting vinyl, glass, and other materials.
Repetitively lifting and moving materials (10-50+ lbs depending on position).
Punching holes into the material.
Stripping the material.
Working with hand tools.
Placing flexy glass on the frames.
Operating a machine, saw, or welding (when not on contract).
Repetitive movements including grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, etc.
Stocking and cleaning the workspace and general areas.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.Shift:
M-F 5AM-1:30PM, no weekends. Must work until the job is done, typically until around 2:30PM. Average hours: 40-50 hours, rarely beyond 50 hours.Breaks:
One 10-minute break in the morning and a 1-hour lunch. Employees are allowed to leave the premises during lunch. Bathroom and water breaks are flexible unless metrics are affected.Top Skills:

The environment is somewhat like a garage, with very large doors that open for a breeze when it's hot. Fans are available to help with the temperature. The break room is air-conditioned, and coolers of Gatorade are provided when it is very hot. The noise level is moderate, and the building is well lit.
