Cornerstone Staffing Solutions, Inc. is looking for seasonal workers for our client in Imlay City, MI, to work 2nd and 3rd shifts. This is a DIRECT HIRE position!
Seasonal Employment will have opportunity for advancement! Eligible to receive up to $500 Retention Bonus (conditions apply) with payouts of increasing amounts made at the completion of 15 days, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days. Primary need is for 2nd shift production -hourly rate $11.35 + 2nd shift premium $0.25/hour! Two paid 15 minute breaks and an unpaid 30 minute lunch. Season continuing through December/recall rights. The Topper Floater is utilized in various roles to support production demand.

SCOPE:
The Topper/Floater assists in the production process working on the production line. The Topper/Floater is responsible for maintaining the expected level of production of finished product, in a safe manner, and maintaining the highest quality at all times. Applicants must be available to work either days or afternoon shift. Production demand can result in daily and weekend overtime.
DUTIES:
The Topper/Floater will follow the process for doing each task as trained. Toppers will receive direction from Team Leaders, Production Leads, and Crew Leaders. The duties of the job are listed below.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to use calculator and perform basic math skills
Ability to complete all paperwork properly, in a neat an orderly fashion, and to maintain those records
Must work closely with QA Lab, production supervisors and Crewleaders
Ability to learn to understand SPC checks as they relate to packing
Ability to lift 10 15lbs constantly, 35lbs occasionally
Ability to stand in one area constantly during each shift
Continually turn from side-to-side, push, pull, and reach
Accurately place product in jars at a rapid and constant rate during each shift
Recognize and establish priorities
Understand and follow policies and procedures
Ability to read and interpret documents such as; safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals
Maintain area in a neat and sanitary fashion
Work accurately and safely with equipment
Must be available to work different shifts as needed
Ability to communicate effectively
Must ensure actions are consistent with and support plant safety goals and procedures
Manufacturing and/or production experience is preferred
