Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in the construction/contractor industry, based in Troy, Michigan. The role involves managing and maintaining data related to multiple vendors and suppliers, validating information, and handling data-driven tasks upon request. Responsibilities Accurately manage high volume data entry tasks related to vendors and suppliers Validate and input data for W9 and 1099 forms Review data to detect and rectify any discrepancies or inaccuracies Communicate with vendors as necessary to obtain updated information Undertake additional data-related tasks as required Participate in other projects or daily tasks within the department as needed Utilize Office Suite, Excel Spreadsheets, Teams, Navision, and Outlook for various tasks Learn and apply new software tools and techniques, such as Vlookups and pivot tables in Excel, and Oracle Maintain an analytical approach towards data entry and visual tasks.Requirements Applicant must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a data entry role, preferably withing vendor or data maintenance. Proficiency in data entry is a mandatory requirement for this role. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and functions, is essential. Familiarity with the VLOOKUP function in Excel is highly desirable. Ability to learn and apply new technologies and applications, including Oracle and MS Navision. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and maintain productivity even when handling large volumes of data. Excellent typing skills, including speed and accuracy, are required. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are crucial for managing multiple data entry tasks simultaneously. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with team members and managers.
