World Class Manufacturing is a journey and it’s our talented people who lead us on this journey.About the RoleThe Magna New Mobility team is seeking a talented & nimble engineer to join our Mechanical team to solve challenging problems towards advancing mobility for everyone and everything. An ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working with ambiguity to develop innovative solutions solving problems related to people and goods mobility. You will be responsible for developing concepts, prototyping, validation and launching them into production. Create specifications and requirements to meet functional objectives.

Work with engineering tools to develop prototype and/or production intent solutions.

Conduct product benchmarking and research studies to help develop new designs for steering, structure, body, and braking systems.

Analyze engineering results and proposed product changes to determine feasibility, and improvement of functional performance.

Direct testing activities for components and equipment under designated conditions to ensure operational performance meets specifications.

Communicate design concepts with the CAE Engineers and evaluate structural analysis results.

Who we are looking for

Degree in an Engineering or related field

Comprehensive understanding about automotive technology

Good understanding of basic engineering principles including FEA, GD&T etc.

3+ years of recent, in-depth, hands-on experience in a relevant field in the automotive industry

Your preferred qualifications

Demonstrated technical ability and creativity to initiate, direct, and control specific projects.

Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and their importance in automotive systems

Knowledge of laboratory mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, metallurgy)

Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.

Provide design direction to CAD Designers and assist them in altering or modifying designs to meet objectives

Communicate design concepts with CAE Engineers and evaluate structural analysis results.
