Description Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific long-term contract / contract / contract / temporary to full-time opportunity in the Manufacturing industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Other projects as required
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Efficient in ERP systems
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Solid understanding of Monthly Close Processes
Prior experience with Job Cost
Wide ranging experience with Analyze Financial Statements
Budget forecasting experience
Strong familiarity with Onboarding
Previous experience working with Managerial accounting
General familiarity with Credit Balance
Quickbooks Online experience
Solid understanding of Perform Month-end
Earlier work involving Prepare Financial Statements
Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Skills in commissions
Experience with forecasting & modeling
Good understanding of Monthly Financial Statements
Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
Forecasting experience highly desired
Hands-on experience with costing
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Quality experience with Financial Statement
CPA experience required
Comprehension of compensation and commissions
Foundational knowledge in cash forecasting
Practical knowledge of Debit Credit
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
A demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting preferred
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
