These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your primary goal is to ensure compliance with Quality Management rules, including ISO standards and procedures, to maintain high-quality operations. You will address and resolve quality issues, provide technical guidance for improving supplier processes, and promote a proactive Quality Management mindset within the Business Unit. By doing so, you will contribute to early detection and resolution of quality problems, supporting overall efficiency while upholding a commitment to quality and operational excellence.As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you create chemistry by
Cooperating with Sales and Engineering teams on product development to define process parameters and criteria, ensuring effective supplier process capability for critical products, processes, and suppliers.
Driving Quality Assurance Agreements (QSV), conducting supplier evaluations, and performing supplier audits to improve supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
Overseeing quality activities related to purchasedparts, including monitoring supplier performance, validating supplier 8D reports, and collecting failure costs to provide procurement support.
Supporting the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for supplier parts, including performing OTS and PPAP work, conducting project audits, and engaging in supplier nomination procedures based on quality and capacity assessments.
Assisting in supplier development based on customer and business requirements, as well as utilizing quality tools such as Cp/Cpk, SPC, R&R, and 8D to analyze and enhance supplier quality performance.
Collaborating with the global team to enhance the Supplier Quality Management system, as well as working with other Quality Management functions to improve overall customer satisfaction.
Managing supplier change requests and approvals, considering quality, cost reduction, and customer requirements, while also checking and approving product drawings before releasing them to suppliers.
If you
Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality management (within the automotive industry preferred).
Are a certified auditor for IATF16949, VDA 6.3, VDA6.5, or possess equivalent knowledge and expertise.
Are proficient in quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5why, SPC, FMEAs, etc.
Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills
Are willing to travel 25% of the time.
