The Operational Finance Analyst actively participates in the standard accounting processes and financial reporting activities at the company’s operational site. The position will be responsible for ensuring site accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential duties:Complete month-end closing transactions, journal entries, and related balance sheet reconciliations; provide variance bridges on a regular basisCollaborate with Financial Shared Services on data accuracy and trainingAssist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesPartner with external auditors on all applicable financial auditsMaintain effective relationships with cross-functional business stakeholders and partners to ensure effective and efficient cross-functional collaborationEnsure financial results are reported timely, accurately, and in compliance with U.S. GAAP/IFRSContinuously seek and support new approaches and practices to improve the efficiency of job duties and business processes, striving to exceed team outputsRespond with flexibility and collaboration to the needs of the business—both internally and externally—by addressing initiatives when requested by management
