This neurologist specializes in treating patients who have Multiple Sclerosis and/or headache pain among other neurologic conditions. The primary responsibilities will be to room patients, review medications, take vitals and record patient history. Will assist with administering memory and patient health questionnaires and clinical evaluations as requested. Will assist provider as needed in the exam room, assist with Botox and infusion appointments, assisting with prep for injections and documentation of MAR (medication administration record), as well as patient phone triage. This position is responsible to communicate pertinent information between patients and the physician to ensure continuity of patient care. Additional medical administrative duties may include obtaining prior authorization for prescribed treatments, facilitating prescription refills, supply inventory and ordering, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, and documentation in electronic medical record (Epic). This position is benefit eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Position Requirements Qualified applicants will possess the following credentials: Licensed Practical Nurse with current license in MN OR Medical Assistant diploma (certification preferred) One to three years previous medical office experience required Excellent computer skills; proficiency with electronic medical record; Epic experience a plus but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize and juggle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment About the Organization Founded in 1955, the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology is well known for the expertise we provide to patients who suffer from neurological diseases and disorders, including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson\'s, Alzheimer\'s, Epilepsy, ALS, sleep disorders, stroke, headache and neck pain, and many others.
