Description We are in the process of seeking a Tax Manager - Public to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota. As a Tax Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in our CPA firm, overseeing tax accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to exhibit their skills in public accounting and bookkeeping.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations Supervise the tax accounting team, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize efficiency and accuracy Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure the team's practices align with these Liaise with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide expert advice Collaborate with other departments to streamline tax procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting Conduct regular tax audits and prepare detailed reports on findings Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members in the tax department Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tax transactions and documents Exhibit proficiency in public accounting and bookkeeping, utilizing these skills to optimize operational efficiency. Requirements Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the public accounting field. Demonstrable experience in public accounting tax is a must. Should be proficient in bookkeeping and have a solid understanding of financial principles. Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Strong ability to manage and lead a team is required. Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively. Should have a strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations is a must. Must have a proven track record of maintaining client relationships. Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns is required. Should be able to develop tax strategies for clients. Must be able to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and standards. Experience in training and mentoring staff is required.
