The person in this position will setup and operate equipment that laminates, cuts, adds adhesives to a variety of paper or plastic products.
Depending on experience level, the person will either start out as a setup operator or work as a machine assistant, learning how to operate all of the equipment with a higher level operator.
Overall, the person will complete the following functions:
setup equipment according to job specifications
measure, weigh and mix adhesives before adding to the machine
will load and unload product from machines
will monitor equipment and visually inspect for the proper output
measure down to 1/16 to complete products within specification for customers
troubleshoot equipment or product issues on converting and laminating equipment

Ability to operate and control coating lines safely
Packaging of completed work
Check work regularly to ensure product meets customer specifications and quality expectations
Complete all required paperwork for each job
