Payroll Specialist job duties include, but are not limited to:
Processing employee data (new hires, changes, etc)
Processing time and attendance data into a payroll format
Preparing and submitting paper payroll checks and initiate direct deposit
Processing correct garnishment calculations and compliance
Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Managing workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
Understanding proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, & year end reporting
Bookkeeping job duties include, but are not limited to:
Developing system of accounts for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balance those accounts by reconciling entries
Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Ensuring the confidentiality of each client by following all company privacy procedures
A qualified candidate should have:
Minimum of a 2-year Associates Degree, Bookkeeping Certificate and/or 2-5 years of work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
QuickBooks experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail, prioritization and organization
Experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to operate general office equipment (fax, printers, etc.)
