Technical Tutor: Engineering & ManufacturingEast High School35 hours per week/38 weeks per year | Monday-Friday | 8:15 am - 3:45 pmStarting Pay: $20.05/hour, increases with experience + BenefitsMinimum Qualifications:Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED certificate, and a college level course in the philosophies and practices of vocational education, and at least one year of experience as a job coach or a closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Experience preferred with equipment such as CNC Mill, Manual lathe, Manual mill, woods equipment, routers, 3D printing, etc.
Knowledge in areas that may include construction, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or other skilled trades
Occupational experience in the related programs of manufacturing, engineering, and/or construction
Considerable knowledge of grammar, including sentence structure
Some knowledge of a specific occupational area as related to supporting emotionally behaviorally disadvantaged students General knowledge of special education and areas of disabilities
General familiarity with classroom materials use in Career and Technical Educational classes
General technical skills in vocational areas such as architecture, engineering, and carpentry
Ability to be flexible
Willing to learn all aspects of the course
Presenting classroom or lab lessons to individual student or groups of students
Critical thinking skills
Interpersonal skills
Basic skills in reading, mathematics and other content areas
Ability to assess and make decisions about student behavior
Experience working with secondary students
Additional Information:This position is will be working in the Engineering & Manufacturing Lab at East High School.
