DescriptionThe basic purpose of this role is to drive performance and maximize Retail channel sales potential in the US through an integrated brand, shopper and trade marketing strategy and execution. The Director, Retail and Shopper Excellence will lead the Trade Shopper Excellence team and priority commercial execution by ensuring Retail Shopper programs and tactics align with US brand strategies. Develops trade and shopper strategies through the leadership and integration of Shopper Marketing research planning.

Executes development of brand through market trend analytics and competitive dynamics.

Leads development of Joint Business Planning and manage relationships with strategic Retail customers including selling stories, customer segmentation and trade analysis to maximize Sales ' Marketing support.

Ensures premium brands executional excellence.

Develops Strategic Success Models across Pet businesses including channel strategy, distribution, sku assortment, display, promotion strategy, point of sale tools and key account services, driving Retail channel growth.

Establishes US Category Vision and develops strategic customer engagement excellence.

Executes on Category Vision with strategic Retailers.

Drives value optimization of strategic retailer programs including price and promotional execution.

Monitors and ensures compliance to BIAH MAP policy.

Achieves sales targets while building discipline of resource optimization (DP/GP & GtN) within Retail Team.

Ensures comprehensive analysis of key customer events to determine effectiveness & key learnings.

Sets the vision and strategy for the Retail & Shopper Excellence team.

Leads, manages and inspires direct reports to ensure commitment and motivation to overall Retail Team growth plans.

Requirements

BS Degree required; MBA Preferred.

10+ years of Commercial leadership experience (Marketing/Sales/Shopper/eCommerce) with a global OTC / CPG organization

5+ years leading teams including prior direct people leadership experience

Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships across of multi-functional teams in different markets.

Proven experience in project management and systematic analysis.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve, develop strategies, tactics and to translate opportunities into measurable implementation.

Eligibility Requirements:
