Caulking Technician performs caulking and related tasks under general supervision of the Project Manager. Caulking Technician performs the full range of highly skilled caulking and sealing tasks at a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Individuals in this classification also may provide assistance to other trades on jobsites as job conditions may require.
Majority of work will involve spray foam insulation, installation of backer rod and caulking around perimeter of commercial storefront windows and doors. Work will start out as "part-time" on a "per job" basis with the intent to make this a full time position.
Job Description:
Includes, but not limited to:
Works on and from ladders, platforms and scaffolds as jobs may require.
Erects ladders and scaffolds as jobs may require.
Operates motorized lifts.
Uses pressure washing equipment on various surfaces.
Removes and replaces caulking, sealants and backer rod per specifications.
Uses bulk guns, electric guns and electric removal tools.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Takes proper care of all materials, tools and equipment.
Keeps work records as required
Future work may include fabrication of flashings
