Job Description:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for performing various machine tool operations to produce machined parts of standard and custom products as manufactured by Moline Machinery. This position is for an individual with strong attention to detail, highly motivated, strong organization skills, and a team player.
Duties Include:
Requires setting up and operating various machine shop tools, including both numerical control (CNC) and manual machine tools.
Work from simple to complicated technical drawings and specifications.
Maintain quality control standards, including the use of precision measuring tools and instruments as required.
Assist in making jigs and fixtures necessary to fabricate parts.
Design, modify, or create CNC programs as directed using both programming software as well as G & M codes.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple, concurrent projects and tasks.
When assigned to other related work, he/she is required to perform to his/her ability.
Works with Engineering and other Production personnel to make modifications to parts and drawings as needed.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree in machine technology field or equivalent experience in similar field
0-3 years related work experience in a machine shop environment
Knowledge and understanding of how to view and interpret technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming software (CAD/CAM software) and the ability to learn new software
Familiar with various CNC controlled and manual machine tools
Ability to perform machine tool maintenance as needed
Ability to interface well with other departments and work together to solve problems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Work is performed on the shop floor and requires frequent use of the phone and use of the computer. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High attention to detail required. Occasional travel is required.
