Flexibility within those hours may be offered after training.This is a non-exempt (hourly) position that is overtime eligible based on business needs.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Perform clinical coverage review services which require interpretation of state and federal mandates, applicable benefit language, and consideration of relevant clinical information

Function as a member of a self-directed team to meet specific individual and team performance metrics

Communicate in writing and verbally all types of benefit determinations including decisions regarding coverage guidelines, contractual limitations, and reimbursement determinations

Participate in telephonic discussions with health care providers and/or members to explain benefit coverage determinations and obtain additional clinical information

Act as a resource for others with less experience

Work independently and collaborate with Medical Directors and non-clinical partners

Adapt to a highly changing environment and a heavy case load

Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of residency

3+ years of RN experience including in an inpatient / acute setting

Proven solid clinical background including exemplary proven clinical documentation and critical thinking skills

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

Access to secure high-speed internet at home via cable broadband, DSL, or fiber

Dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Compact RN license OR the ability to obtain one

Experience performing utilization review at an insurance company

Experience providing case management

Proven familiarity with Interqual

Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to work seamlessly and independently in multiple computer platforms

Proven self-starter with the ability to handle a fast-paced production environment and multiple review types

Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Upload claims and invoices and enter data into the claims processing system accurately, ensuring all required fields are populated. Work weekly check processing report, reviewing for accuracy, printing checks and EOPs, stuffing envelopes, and mailing to providers. Update claims processing system and maintain productivity goals. Assist with weekly Precheck Registers and coordinate with Claims Adjudicators for accuracy prior to printing and mailing. Ensure complete and accurate processing of claim payments and work with PACE System Administrator on system updates. Maintain accurate records and documentation of claims activities and communication. Assist Claim Adjudicators with monthly claims audits to ensure accuracy of the claims processing system. Serve as back up for Claims Adjudicators when they are out of office. Maintain knowledge of PACE, CMS, and state Medicaid policies and claims guidelines. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to claims processing. Communicate to and prepare reports for the Claims Administrator and Director of Health Plan Operations. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma. Experience with medical billing and administrative duties, 2+ years preferred. Experience in a claims processing role, 2+ years preferred. Ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of facility and VOA/VOANS staff and providers. Analytical and organizational abilities. Detail oriented with commitment to accuracy and quality. Understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes. Knowledge of HIPAA law and PACE regulations. Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to insurance and claims processing. Ability to examine, evaluate, and adjust claims in accordance with company procedures and state regulations. Proficiency in utilizing computers and software for tasks.
