Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. As a Network Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organization's computer networks and systems. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day network operations, providing technical support, and ensuring network security, performance, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Network Maintenance and Monitoring:
Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement necessary upgrades and updates.
User Support and Help Desk:
Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems.
Respond to help desk requests, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Assist with network access, account creation, password resets, and implement security measures.
Network Security:
Implement and maintain network security measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
Regularly update firewall rules and security policies.
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Documentation and Collaboration:
Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology, configurations, and procedures.
Create and update network diagrams and asset inventories.
Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
Optimization and Recommendations:
Optimize network performance and bandwidth utilization.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for critical network systems and data.
Test and execute recovery procedures as needed.
Vendor Management:
Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and support of network equipment and services.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in network administration, including familiarity with network protocols and best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of security principles and practices.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
