A Day in the LifeThis is the top US sales position for the Pelvic Health (PH) Operating Unit reporting to the President of the business and serving on the Pelvic Health OU global leadership team. The Vice President, US Sales is responsible for achieving US Commercial P&L targets in this growth business with an annual US revenue responsibility of over $550M. This role leads the strategy, structure and effectiveness of the US Sales organization.The VP, US Sales has the responsibility for the comprehensive sales organization performance, achieving both revenue and EBIT targets. This position sets the vision and creates, implements and controls strategic plans and sales programs that are aligned to the PH business strategy. The VP will coach the team of Field Sales, Clinical and Commercial Excellence leaders and provide leadership for key commercial initiatives across the U.S. This leadership role requires strong customer engagement and collaboration among many stakeholders.The growth in the PH business requires a VP level sales executive with previous leadership in a high growth, competitive business and a demonstrated record of strong performance. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience managing a divisional P&L, collaborating with cross-functional peers, and developing and leading high-performance teams.· Develop plans and execute strategies for developing business and achieving sales goals for the U.S.· Achieve targets for profitable sales volume, market share and other key financial performance objectives.· Create a culture of success and ongoing business and sales goal achievement providing leadership to the sales organization’s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance and ethical behavior.· Identify and drive potential customers into partnership programs.· Ensure contract compliance for those customers in partnership programs.· Leads sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the needs for change, championing change initiatives and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.· Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.· Actively participate in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning and budgeting.· Accountable for effective sales organization design, including sales job roles and commercial operations.· Investigate new business opportunities to create value for the business and customer and create demand for our products.· Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to ensure on-going flow of information on product needs and market conditions.· Develop and reinforce compliance with all Medtronic policies, business conduct standards and pricing strategies and addressing compliance issues swiftly.· Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.· Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function.· Manage the talent agenda in alignment with the strategic business imperatives through succession planning, talent development and retention.Must Have: Minimum Requirement s

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum 15 years prior marketing and/or sales experience; with Masters or other advanced degree, minimum 13 years prior marketing and/or sales experience

Minimum of 13 years of managerial experience

Medical device sales experience
