To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
RequirementsLess than one year of experience
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Efficient in ERP systems
Detailed and have the ability work independently
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Month end closings experience preferred
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
Deep understanding of QuickBooks
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
