The Maintenance Technician II plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our processing and packaging equipment. This position is responsible for performing routine and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting processes, managing the preventive maintenance program, and assisting with machine setups and rebuilds. The ideal candidate will utilize safe repair methods to maintain compliance with all regulations and standards.Position: Mainenance TechPayrate: $28-$30 per hourShift: 3rd shift Monday-Friday 11p-7aEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance: Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and grounds, adhering to standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and OSHA safety policies.
Emergency Repairs: Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment during production as needed.
Machinery Setup: Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs to ensure operational efficiency.
Equipment Installation: Assist in the repair, updating, and installation of equipment as required.
Troubleshooting: Conduct troubleshooting of both electrical and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Work Orders: Complete and update work orders using in-house systems to track maintenance activities.
Records Maintenance: Maintain and complete routine and preventive maintenance records and logs for compliance and reporting purposes.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining product quality.
Facility Upkeep: Perform maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds as needed.
Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain a working knowledge of all plant processes to support effective maintenance activities.
Manual Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute tasks effectively.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform work accurately, reliably, thoroughly, and within safety guidelines.
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Safety Protocol:
Stop any observed unsafe acts and adhere to facility safety rules and procedures.
Correct or report any observed safety hazards promptly.
Support safety policies and programs actively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field is preferred.
Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment with 3-5 years.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
