Job Summary This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to researching, designing, and developing products, parts, components, or portions of major products. Job Functions (Essential) Be the electrical architect for design and development for new or existing products Design and development of Generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, electrical diagrams, electronic engine systems, automatic voltage regulators, transformers, heaters, motor controls, and protective devices, paralleling switchgear, low and medium voltage switchgear, and any other electrical aspects of products. Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost objectives are met. Co-ordinate with production team for during assembly of Electrical Schematics and wiring harness. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement of existing products Reviews and analyzes vendor or customer proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices Responsible for following the ERP procedures per the company\'s quality system Safety and environmental procedures and work instructions can be referenced in the Matrix Performs other related duties as assigned Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct Performs special projects as required Perform other related duties as assigned Posting Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer Location: MTU Onsite Energy (Mankato, MN) Functional Area: Engineering FLSA Code: EXEMPT Employment Type: OED - Exempt Qualifications: Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required: Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of electrical engineering experience or 9 years of electrical engineering experience.
