This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will play a critical role in this new Health Care company by collaborating with colleagues globally, setting sustainability strategy, supporting commercialization teams addressing their sustainability needs as a competitive advantage and engaging employees. This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.The Impact Youll Make in this RoleAs the Senior Manager for Sustainability Strategy & Portfolio Integration you will play a key role in driving and supporting commercialization teams across the enterprise to leverage Sustainability as a competitive advantage. You will play a key role in developing organizational sustainability strategy and supporting the creation of environmental claims for more sustainable products. You will drive the organizations development of enterprise-wide environmental and social goals, while also helping establish the sustainability governance structure. You will play a critical role in the engagement of employees to harness their passion for sustainability in the New Health Care Company. You will also lead the companys efforts in understanding key customers environmentally preferred purchasing policies, driving improvement of the overall sustainability of the product portfolio, and responding to customers requests for supplier sustainability data. You will work across divisions and with cross-functional commercialization teams to identify their customers needs related to sustainability.Use environmental metrics data for the New Health care company to develop science-based environmental goals and collaborate with other leaders to create social goals for the organization.Drive science-based insights and validation of product sustainability.Motivate and support product teams in creating environmental marketing claims.Engage employees and align their individual and collective passion in support of sustainability.Develop and implement the Sustainability partnership and engagement strategy for the organization.Work across functions to develop and implement the New Health Care companys brand and reputation via meaningful external sustainability partnerships, collaborations and communications.The Impact Youll Make in this RoleTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of experience in sustainability strategy (materiality study) development and activation; including enterprise-wide goal setting and partnership and engagement strategy development and execution.Experience in life cycle assessments and interpretation, environmental product declarations, produ t carbon footprint is required in a private, public, government, or military environmentDemonstrated experience in drafting and/or substantiating environmental claims for products and solutions.Experience in coaching and developing direct reports, as well as working cross-functionally and across divisions to make informed decisions.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience engaging employees through formal sustainability programs.Previous experience in the health care industry, working on or related to Sustainability.Knowledge of environmentally preferred purchasing.Previous experience in brand development and communication.Candidates with previous experience in industry, organizations working on or related to Sustainability are preferred.Travel: May include up to 10% for business trips related to strategic partnerships.Work location: Work Your Way Eligible - [Remote]Relocation Assistance: NoMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
