Eaton’s Mobility Group is currently seeking a Lead Program Manager to join our Fuel Emissions & Boosting Business Units (BU). This position can be based at the following Eaton locations: Southfield, MI, Galesburg, MI, or Marshall, MI. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of these locations as relocation assistance is not offered for this position.In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of product industrialization projects and programs that deliver on business case cost and benefit commitments. Reporting to the Director of the Business Unit, you will partner with engineering/marketing and other New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure successful product launches from design to delivery. You will be a senior leader responsible for managing both teams of people (PMs - Program Managers) as well as special NPI projects.What you’ll do:In this role, you will have responsibility for projects as well as managing a team. Responsibilities include the following: Responsible for overall NPI/special projects execution and performance of the BU. Own and meet Eaton NPI performance Metrics for the BU in terms of cost, quality, delivery, profitability, internal & external customer satisfaction. Direct, manage, coach, mentor all BU PMs. Optimize BU PM utilization in terms of capacity and matching capabilities with NPIs through current and future years. Manage career path for all PMs. Co-ordinate/ conduct/sign-off on Program reviews/DGCs within the BU to ensure timely completion of GATES. Act as advocate for all BU PMs and help escalate/resolve issues to senior leadership as needed. Liaise with PMO (Program Management Office) and lead within the BU cascading/implementation of Eaton processes, systems, tools, trainings, best practices, and PM functional excellence. Contribute to the PMO/ PM community by conducting trainings that may have been assigned in Steering Committee. Interface with Eaton Leadership to correct underperforming areas in NPI execution, as necessary. Capture, maintain, and implement lessons learned for the BU on NPI execution.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required (Business Administration, Engineering, or related) Minimum 10 years of global automotive experience in Program Management or a combination of Program Management with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing/Supply Chain, or Product Development. Previous leader of people or functional leader experience in multiple functional domains. PMP Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) Proficient in Program and Project Management in New Product Introduction/launch settings Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Master’s degree in Business or Engineering Experience in Requirements and Risk Management Knowledge of product and project portfolio management principles Knowledge of passenger car and commercial vehicle product/marketsPosition Criteria Demonstrated leadership style that is consistent with Eaton expectations of leaders (ethical, passionate, accountable, efficient, transparent, learner).
