Our subsidiary, Heartland Wood Products, operates a dedicated plant in Redwood Falls specializing in the production of premium custom items such as stair treads, countertops, and other architectural wood components for high-end homes and commercial spaces.
Position Summary:
We are seeking aSkilled Woodworking Associatewith a background infinish carpentry, skilled woodworking, or cabinetmaking. This hands-on role involves the fabrication of high-end custom products using a range of woodworking equipment and techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced with a variety of machines. CNC experience, including programming, is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Build custom stair treads, countertops, and other specialty wood products to precise specifications
Operate woodworking machinery including saws, jointers, planers, routers, shapers, and sanders
Read and follow technical drawings and work orders with high attention to detail
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members to meet quality and production timelines
(Preferred) Program and operate CNC machines for cutting and shaping components
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience incabinetmaking, finish carpentry, or skilled woodworking
Strong proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery
Ability to interpret shop drawings and technical specs
Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
CNC machine operation and programming experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to lift and move large wood materials as needed
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with hardwoods and architectural wood products
Understanding of joinery, wood grain, and structural layout
Experience with CAD/CAM software for CNC work is a bonus
