Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist/Generalist to join the team on a contract basis(with the potential to grow into a full-time position). In this role, you will provide a variety of accounting and administrative services to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping. This position offers a flexible remote work environment with the potential for growth within our firm. Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including entering invoices, verifying accuracy, and making payments.

Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports.

Assist with payroll processing and sales tax filings.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accounting software.

Prepare and maintain client financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements for clients.

Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and address any questions.

Stay updated on current accounting regulations and best practices.

Other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.

Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is essential.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience working remotely is preferred.
