Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented to join our team as teh Controller/Accountant for a Company in the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant accounting. As the Controller/Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the financial reporting process, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.
Duties
Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation to maintain integrity of financial data.
Prepare and present financial reports to management
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience
Restaurant 365 Software a Plus
Proven experience in corporate accounting or as a Controller/Accountant in a similar environment/restaurant
accounting
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Proficiency in financial report writing with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
