We are now hiring Data Entry Representatives (Financial Representatives) in Saint Paul! This a contract role through October with Volt Workforce Solutions. Hours: M-F 8:00-4:30PMLocation: Downtown Saint PaulDuration: 4-5 Month ContractPay: $18/hourJob duties include but not limited to:1) Financial representative Meet with patients to discuss payment options for servicesAssist patients with the completion of a Minnesota Medicaid application, gathering appropriate verification, monitoring progress, maintaining Access database to track statusWork with other internal departments to coordinate efforts for payment of servicesRoutinely investigates and responds to insurance and financial issues for patients, internal and external customers2) Registration and insurance expertResource for patients, clinic staff and providers regarding insurance coverage and benefits, referral/authorization requirements, coordination of benefits and preferred provider/care networksCollect outpatient registration error data and report findings to appropriate supervisorTrain clinic staff on specific registration techniques and insurance entry on Prelude as neededPrepare and present insurance and registration updates at monthly clerical staff meetings3) Referral/authorizations processGather referral forms daily, review prelude for insurance coverage and enter those required into the appropriate online systems in a timely mannerEducate patients, staff and physicians regarding appropriate referral/authorization rules based on different insurance productsMaintain and provide insurance network information as needed and document referral usageAppropriately answer authorization requests from insurance companies using online medical records4) Review assigned departments outpatient schedules for reimbursement purposesObtain authorization for assigned outpatient specialty visitsVerify insurance coverage via computer and/or telephone as neededIdentify and correct insurance/registration errors on PreludeNotify front desk staff via online Cadence messaging system of potential self pay patientsConsistently document online referral/authorization information in Prelude Account NoteFacilitate primary care clinic changes for patients when necessaryResearch and act on all post encounter visits which need a referral/authorization5) Coordinate forms completionMaintain Access database with accurate and detailed records regarding forms, tracking providers progress and monitoring overall turn around timeReview online medical records abstracting data to complete forms as necessaryPrint supporting documentation as neededRoute incoming forms in a timely manner to providers for possible completion and signaturePhotocopy completed forms for patients medical recordFax, mail or notify parties for pick up when forms are completedInvestigate and communicate status of forms as requested and potential issuesQualifications: Must be 18 years of age or olderMust have high school diploma or GEDMust have 2 years of secondary education Must have Health Care/Customer Service/Finance backgroundContingent upon the completion of a background checkApply: apply directly to this posting or e-mail your resume Volt is an equal opportunity employer.
