Job Title: Middle School Tutor
Location: Edina (will drive to you if within 5 miles of NE Edina)
Job Type: Part-time, after 4:30 during the week (flexible days)
About Us:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced tutor to work with our middle school student in a one-on-one setting on the topics of reading & math. Our ideal candidate is passionate about education and has a lot of experience remediating middle-school aged child in reading.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified tutor to provide academic support to our 6th grade middle school student. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing an individualized lesson plan, assessing student progress, and communicating with the child's parents.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to middle school students in reading and math.
Assess student strengths and weaknesses to develop targeted lesson plans
Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student motivation and confidence
Communicate with parents to discuss student progress and provide regular updates
Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed
Requirements:
Experience working with middle school students, either in a teaching or tutoring capacity, especially with reading and math
Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
Work will be done at our home or we can drive to you (within 5 miles of Edina)
Must be able to work a minimum of 2-3 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust schedule as needed
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate of $50
