Description:Primary Responsibilities: Research, analyze, and conclude on new accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the FASB and SEC and prepare memorandums including supportive literature, impact on the Company and conclusion Evaluate transactions, research as needed to provide recommendations and implement appropriate accounting and business solutions. Must be able to collaborate effectively with key partners to implement systems, business controls and processes/procedures to achieve objectives Prepare financial reports, review and analyze financial information and maintain accounting data in appropriate ledgers and journals Drive development of financial system improvements to eliminate manual processes and improve financial controls Support external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and auditsKey Performance Indicators: Ensures compliance with SEC, GAAP and other legal and regulatory requirements Identifies and helps to implement system, process and cost improvements Effectively multi-tasks and prioritize work assignments to ensure timely completion with high quality, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close deliverablesSkills:General ledger, Reporting, Journal entry, Financial reporting, Audit, SEC Reporting, Gaap, Accounting, Month end, Reconciliation, Financial statementTop Skills Details:General ledger,Reporting,Journal entry,Financial reporting,Audit,SEC Reporting,GaapAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must haves: 4+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 1+ years of SEC reporting experience needed Strong understanding of GAAP required True accounting experience with Public Account or auditor for Publicly traded firm Technical accounting, someone really into the numbers, comfortable researching the rulesNice to have: Active CPA Oracle and Workiva experience Proven record of driving process improvements and development of personnelExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
