The Purchasing Manager role is a highly visible role focused on the leadership and development of purchasing raw materials while maintaining appropriate inventory levels considering our business objectives. This position will primarily focus on synchronizing processes through system utilization. This individual will lead the development of those processes and strategies with focus on improving cost, quality and service.  DIRECT REPORTSCurrently consists of 3 Sr. Buyers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions)The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:Responsible for raw material buying activities including processing requests, order placement, inventory management and on time delivery                                                         Manage purchasing and materials initiatives including Jack Link’s inventory, supplier managed inventory, consignment, and plant service                                                               Develop and implement process improvements while achieving and maintaining a high degree of data accuracy, integrity, and ownership within SAP ERP systems                                      Manage the buying department and team, ensuring we achieve departmental objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement                                                       Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
