Description Regional HR Director – Manufacturing | Multi-Site RoleOverview: We are looking for a strategic and influential HR leader to join a growing team as a Regional HR Director. This role will play a key part in shaping and executing HR strategies across multiple manufacturing sites, initially focusing on stabilizing critical locations. If you thrive in a dynamic, lean HR environment and have a proven track record in driving change, employee engagement, and talent development, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.Role Summary: The Regional HR Director will oversee the HR function across multiple manufacturing sites, starting with 1-4 key facilities and expanding over time. You will lead strategic HR initiatives, stabilize HR operations at key locations, and work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives. This role demands a blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, making it ideal for an experienced leader ready to mentor a growing HR team and drive impactful change.Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, and complex employee relations issues.

Multi-Site HR Oversight: Direct HR functions across multiple manufacturing locations, with an initial focus on stabilizing the one particular plant while scaling HR support to additional sites.

Talent Acquisition & Development: Partner with site leaders to enhance recruitment strategies, develop talent pipelines, and mentor HR Business Partners to build a robust HR function.

Employee Engagement & Retention: Lead initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, foster a positive work culture, and reduce turnover across all sites.

Mentorship & Team Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the HR team, focusing on professional growth, process improvement, and alignment with business goals.

Project Management: Lead HR projects related to process optimization, policy development, and change management, driving consistent and scalable HR practices.

Union Relations (if applicable): While union negotiations are not the primary focus, familiarity with unionized environments and labor relations is beneficial.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Demonstrated success in strategic HR management, overseeing multi-site operations, and mentoring HR teams.

Strong background in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.

Proven project management skills with a focus on delivering HR initiatives that support business objectives.

Ability to travel 50-60% of the time, with a typical schedule of being on-site Tuesday through Thursday each week, and flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote on Mondays and Fridays).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in labor relations and union negotiations.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
