Description As a Logistics Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing a portfolio of clients in the logistics and supply chain industry. This role focuses on account management, requiring a strong understanding of logistics services, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, as well as maintain and expand relationships with existing clients. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their logistics needs are met with tailored solutions.
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Identify new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain industry through cold calling, referrals, emails, and in-person connections.
Determine and negotiate competitive rates for quoting and securing freight services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and client satisfaction.
Prepare and present regular sales reports, including forecasts, pipeline status, and client feedback.
Respond to and manage RFQ/RFP requests, ensuring timely and thorough completion to meet client requirements.
Track and analyze key performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and identify potential growth areas.
Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and address any operational challenges that may impact client satisfaction.
Attend networking events to expand business opportunities, strengthening relationships and exploring new markets.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
Strong understanding of logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
