Description Job Title: Senior Fund AccountantAre you an experienced Fund Accountant looking for a rewarding and challenging new role? We have an ideal opportunity for you! A leading Alternative Investment firm based in Minneapolis, MN seeks a motivated and competent Senior Fund Accountant for a direct hire role.In this key role, you'll oversee the company's financial operations, including fund accounting, and the preparation of financial reports. The chosen individual will demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills, along with an understanding of GAAP, to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cash reconciliations and manage fund expense accruals.

Maintaining reconciliations for trade activities, management and incentive fees.

Performance fee calculation.

Assist with year-end audits as required.

Back up Operations

Support the organization with other projects and requests as needed.

Continually seek to implement improvements in accounting processes and workflows.

Requirements:

A minimum of three years of experience in Fund and/or Management Accounting.

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, mainly Excel.

In-depth understanding of GAAP.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
