DescriptionAmazon Web Services is looking for a passionate, talented, and well-organized Technical Program Manager who has experience managing multiple programs in a global environment across numerous technology platforms. The candidate will manage programs/projects to safeguard AWS's resilience. This position requires the candidate to work with engineers and technical leadership across organizations to identify, collect, and develop best practices for building highly resilient systems and coordinate the development of mechanisms and training programs to help AWS builders build highly resilient systems.The successful candidate will identify appropriate resources as needed, develop schedules to ensure the timely completion of the projects, and communicate progress and success metrics to all levels of organizational leadership. The ideal candidate has an organized, analytical mind and can work effectively in an ambiguous problem space. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate will have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new feature sets, analyzing cost/benefits, and communicating results throughout the organization. Above all, the successful candidate must have a results-oriented mindset and drive results rather than activity.Job Responsibilities:Work with engineers and technical leaders to identify best practices for building resilient systems.Participate in systems design and support.Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop program and product requirements.Collaborate with technical and design teams to define and design minimally invasive solutions with the best outcomes.Guide the implementation and delivery of solutions and programs.Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.Support and enhance existing products and programs with thoughtful and measurable impact.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Minneapolis, MN, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.
