Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the education industry. The role will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and offers the flexibility of a remote working environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for handling full cycle accounting and grant accounting tasks, utilizing your skills in Grant Accounting, Full Cycle Accounting, and PeopleSoft.Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of full cycle accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Manage grant accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Utilize PeopleSoft software for various accounting functions. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, and conduct regular ledger activities. Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems. Resolve any accounting discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. Provide support for audit requirements and interact with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Liaise with other departments to ensure all accounting functions are carried out efficiently and effectively. Requirements Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related role Proficiency in Grant Accounting is required Experience with Full Cycle Accounting is preferred Must have prior experience using PeopleSoft Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have strong organizational and time management skills Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
