Job Description

Purpose of the role:TheTalent Development Partner Functions & Solutions Directorwill oversee and functions talent development programs. This includes developing, establishing, implementing and measuring defined learning and development programs and curricula.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners todrive performance management,business and cultural transformation efforts and support dentsu HR initiatives ensuring consistent messaging and training across the organization.
  • Implement and deliver (with brand HR Business Partners) talent development initiatives to accelerate organizational and team performance to positively impact business results.
  • Deploy brand learning and development resources and solutions to support the talent development strategy and integration across brands.
  • Work closely with senior leadership withinassigned brand/s,and third-party vendors, to coordinate multiple concurrent projects to develop and deliver talent development initiatives.
  • Support the instructional design / curriculum development process, including program measurement, by working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), researching, and developing content for use in training materials, manuals, presentations, and exams.Align newly created brand entity training and development curricula to the employee career framework.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide ongoing reporting and feedback into the impact of talent development programs and deploy needed changes. Work with third party vendors to implement initiatives that drive brand expertise.
  • Provide oversight, support and measurement of various learning and development programs including participant communications, reporting, and facilitating webinars.Ensure an ongoing process exists which continuously enhances the knowledge and capability of participants.
  • Lead and oversee communication, teamwork, engagement, innovation and problem solving of the brand Talent Development Team.
  • Co-create yearly brand learning and development budget with HR, maintain budget and have oversight of allocations.
  • Collaborate with Talent Development Operations for new hire onboarding, instructional design support, and to ensure proper compliance.
  • Support the business and HR leaders in building leadership capability and accelerating high potentials across brands through identification of individuals and build skills and experience.
  • Support dentsu global and regional learning initiatives within the brand entity. Work with other Talent Development Service Line Partners to collaborate and share learning strategies across dentsu Brands.

Outcomes:

  • All roles within assigned brand have clear functional / technical curricula that will enable employees to develop the require levels of proficiency in their skillsets to perform the roles with excellence.
  • All curricula work as designed, with courses and content deploying smoothly and effectively as needed when needed.
  • Drive engagement with talent development programs within brand entity/s.
  • Measure learning and development initiatives using learning KPIs and evaluate for efficiency, effectiveness, alignment, and an overall ROI on an on-going basis.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the roles within the organization he/she supports, the role demands, and the competencies required to support those roles.Ability to understand dentsu brandcultureand impact on learning & development requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and reporting on talent development programs, including formal/informal and development at the individual, team and organizational level.
  • Process driven, with strong project management skills: ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and handle a range of projects simultaneously within a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge and application of talent development, change management concepts, tools and methods, and leadership and talent management principles and processes.
  • Exceptional digital, written and verbal communication; ability to communicate in a well-organized and concise manner both in one-on-one and group settings.
  • An enthusiastic and committed attitude, flexible problem-solver, open to participate and promote change within the organization.
  • Self-starter with ability to think independently and work autonomously when necessary and a desire to succeed among fellow professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail, relationship building and coaching/training others, and the ability to manage different groups and personalities to achieve consensus.
  • Ability to deliver training in a workshop or web-based delivery medium. Comfortable with technology.
  • Know how to setup, report, and manage learning content in the LMS as appropriate.

Leadership Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years experience in the learning and development industry in a large, fast-paced, complex, global company leading change, delivering successful client engagement, and achieving results OR 5-7 years technical / functional experience in a marketing technology, marketing analytics, or digital agency, with a preference for demonstrated success in a large, fast-paced, complex, global company leading change, delivering successful client engagement, and achieving results.
  • 3-4 years managing and leading an engaged group of TD Partners who consult, manage, design, develop and deliver learning and development solutions.
  • Partnering, building relationships based on trust, equality, respect and support
  • Orchestrators, who tap into the collective expertise of the whole of dentsu
  • Proven track record of effective, multi-tasked project management
  • Advanced computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS and LMS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with ease and control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is strongly preferred.
