Job Description:
Title: Assistant General Manager - Full-time
Reports to: General Manager
Accountabilities: Oversee the entire operation of the restaurant for the duration of each shift. Takes
responsibility for the smooth operation of all departments and employees during the shift. Upholds a high
standard for customer service and profitability. Enforce adherence to the policies and procedures of the 50’s
Grill while fully developing the capabilities of each staff member.
Hours: 45 hours per week on average
Compensation: 60,000-65,000/year
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the restaurant is adequately prepared and staffed for the upcoming shift
Provide outstanding service to all guests and resolve questions, comments, and problems in a timely and
professional manner
Train and develop staff to maintain an exceptional quality of both food and service
Promote teamwork and good working relationships within and between departments
Motivate team through positive role-modeling
Meet or exceed performance targets for food and labor costs on a consistent basis
Maintain strict compliance with all food, health, and safety standards as set by the company and ensure
compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records for each shift
Ensure that the restaurant is closed down and cleaned according to company standards on a nightly basis
Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff in all departments
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years working in a restaurant environment
High School Diploma
Stable work history demonstrating 100% reliability, career advancement, and promotability
Physically fit and able to maintain a quick pace for the duration of the shift
Self –starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who is willing to be hands-on when needed
during a shift
Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
Understanding of POS/cashiering and able to successfully reconcile all receipts at end of shift
Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Excel and Word
