Position: Full-time Bar Manager (5 days a week)
Compensation: Hourly + tips, or salary (based on experience)

Are you ready to lead and build an exciting, dynamic bar team in the heart of North Loop? We’re looking for a Bar Manager who will take ownership of our bar operations, bringing fresh ideas and passion for the hospitality industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a supportive, vibrant restaurant, manage a small bar team, and create memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Bar Operations: Oversee all aspects of daily bar service, including maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and bar team performance.
- Cocktail Program: Work with our established beverage consultant to enhance consistency and quality across the program. Opportunities exist for special cocktails and “cocktail of the week” creations.
- Staff Training & Development: Lead training programs to elevate the team’s skills and knowledge, ensuring everyone is aligned on beverage standards and service quality.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage bar inventory, control costs, monitor purchases, and reduce waste. Work closely with our vendors & bar team to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the Director of Food and Beverage on monthly education and training sessions for all staff.
About You:
You have a genuine passion for the restaurant industry, and food and drink are central to your life. You're known for creating warm, authentic hospitality for everyone—staff, guests, vendors, and stakeholders. With a thorough understanding of both the service and operational sides of the restaurant, you excel at finding ways to improve performance and guest satisfaction. Can handle working under pressure and be clean cut.
We’re looking for a natural mentor who enjoys helping others grow and a leader who uses organized systems to keep everything running smoothly.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience behind the bar, including experience developing cocktail and beer menus
- Familiarity with the Minneapolis cocktail and dining scene
- Extensive knowledge of international spirits and a plus for international food experience
- Proven ability to build and lead a team with a culture of respect and accountability
- A positive, collaborative, and proactive attitude (only positive and yes can attitude)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed

Additional Responsibilities:
- Implement effective cost control measures for the bar and batching program
- Participate in monthly inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory management
- Manage bartender scheduling, hiring, and performance to keep the team prepared and engaged
