We are looking to add a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to our team!
Spasso is a lively high volume neighborhood restaurant with fresh innovative cuisine and the best wine list in Minnesota.
Key duties and responsibilities
Serve as an assistant to the Head or Executive Chef. Their duties include leading the kitchen staff during the Head Chef’s absence, guiding and supervising the kitchen staff during food preparation and assisting the Head Chef in menu preparation. Managing food costs and food safety.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of the kitchen’s routines and timing
Ability to understand and follow the Head Chef’s instructions
Knowledge of food preparation methods and presentation
Knowledge of how to maintain and care for cooking equipment
Leadership & Conflict resolution skills
Ability to work under pressure
