Medical Billing/A.R. Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all facets of Revenue Cycle Management, including billing, claims corrections, payment reconciliation, billing encounter reconciliation, claim appeals, claim follow-up, identifying and reporting inefficiencies and claim denial trends, working with patients to resolve outstanding balance issues, setting up payment plans, and ensuring follow-up on collection efforts to ensure timely reimbursement for all services provided.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of experience in Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable for physician practices (Professional Claims/HCFA 1500)
5+ years of experience in Medical Appeals and Denials
Knowledge and experience billing Commercial and Government Payers, including recent experience billing Original Medicare & Medicare Advantage plans
Knowledge of Medical and Insurance Terminology
Ability to work independently
5+ years’ experience with Insurance Collections
Tech-Savvy (preferred)
