Who are we? Eagan Dental Care we are a private practice team of professionals who care about providing the best dental care possible to our patients. We want to build relationships with our patients and their families. We are looking for a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our wonderful and tight knit team. Someone who is comfortable educating and discussing oral health with our patients. This is a Part Time position on ideally Thursdays from 8AM to 5PM hoping to grow into more! Job Duties
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments
Conduct initial screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Work on building hygiene recall
"co-diagnose" treatment with the doctor, where you make note of clinical findings and inform the patient
Working with the doctor to treatment plan patient's dental care
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Educate patients on clinical findings in their mouth and the importance of treatment
Take X-rays, intraoral pictures and dental impressions
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient in Open Dental
Monitor supplies
