Are you interested in a position of providing one on one cares for women in their home? Do you enjoy going to plays and community events? In your past experience, have you provided personal cares for someone in a wheelchair?

Learnability has an opening for a team member who has experience working with women in wheelchairs.

The right candidate will have an upbeat, caring, and positive attitude! We have a great collaborative team that wants to provided individual care for these women to experience independence in the community. A CNA or LPN certificate is highly desired for the medical cares along with experience working with adults with disabilities. We provide paid training and growth in our organization! Company vehicles are available at the site for both individuals during community outings and their day program. Applicants must live within a 20 minute commute of Eden Prairie.

Basic Function:

The Designated Coordinator will provide personal care support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in the client's home. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting our clients with various activities of daily living as well as helping clients reach independent goals.

Responsibilities include socialization, meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping, hygiene, and transfers.

We will ensure that your comfort and skill level complement both young ladies in the home for their care plan.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification as a CNA, HHA, LPN is highly desired.

Strong understanding of person-centered planning and support methodologies.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain a positive work environment.

Proficiency in relevant computer applications for record-keeping and reporting.

Ability to lift, use a Hoyer and assist with all aspects of each individual's daily routines

Successfully pass clearances - MN State Police Criminal Background Check and driving history (less than 3 violations in 3 years)

Required Skills:

Ability to treat clients with respect and dignity

Possess an understanding of scheduling, PTO approvals and employee reviews

Ability to follow a client's service plan

Possess basic cooking and housekeeping skills

Able to lift 50+ and utilize a Hoyer

Benefits

Full-time employees receive a bank of PTO after 90 days of 160 hours/20 days

Eligible for 401K (yes, even part-time staff) after you have worked 1,000 hours from your date of hire.
