Job Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant who is passionate about pediatric dental care and possesses a unique blend of technical skills, empathy, and a love for working with children. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our dental care team, assisting dentists during procedures, preparing patients for treatment, and ensuring a positive and supportive environment for our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.

- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays).

- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.

- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.

- Perform administrative tasks, such as patient record keeping.

- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.

- Communicate with patients and their parents or guardians regarding postoperative care and general oral health.

Qualifications:

- Current Minnesota Dental Assistant License.

- Certification in CPR.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and comfort.

- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred but not required.

- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
